What It Is: CSA is a partnership between a farm and a community of supporters which provides a direct link between people and the growing of their food. Becoming a member creates a conscious relationship between ourselves and the food we eat, the land on which it is grown and those who grow it. This mutually supportive relationship between local farmers and community members helps create an economically stable farm operation in which members are assured the highest quality produce. This arrangement, called "teikei" in Japan where it originated over 30 years ago, translates to "putting the farmers' face on food."
How it Works: Community members sign up and purchase their shares, in a lump sum before the seeds are sown early in the growing season, or in monthly installments throughout. In return for your investment, you will receive a bag of fresh, locally grown, all naturally grown produce, including a wide variety of seasonal vegetables and herbs, once a week during the growing season.

A collaborative project of Gaia’s Garden Community Supported Agriculture and Urban Plough, we will be growing your veggies all naturally and locally at Sycamore Farms in Waddell and Gaia’s Garden in Buckeye.
