What does yoga mean?
Derived from Sanskrit, yoga means union of body, mind and soul with God. Yoga is an art, a science and a philosophy. It touches the life of persons at every level, physical, mental and spiritual. It is a practical method for making one's life purposeful, useful and noble. When practiced regularly, yoga can be transformational in one's life.
Who can practice yoga?
The beauty of yoga is that it knows no boundaries. It is open to all, regardless of physical or mental health. The practice of yoga helps the inactive body to become active and vibrant. It transforms the mind, making it harmonious.
Helpful Tips
Timeliness: Each yoga class has its own rhythm; please be on time to class. All pagers/cell phones must be turned off or placed on vibrate mode, if necessary, in the studio.
Help us keep our sacred place clean by removing your shoes upon entering the studio.
Please avoid wearing lotion (especially on hands and feet) and heavy perfume to class.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing to permit unrestricted freedom of movement. You may want to bring a towel as well.
As a courtesy to staff and the incoming class, please neatly fold and stack blankets, return props to their respective baskets.
Return mat rental to the front desk to be cleaned.

If you plan on practicing yoga regularly, we highly suggest purchasing your own mat.
Inform your instructor about injuries, pregnancy or concerns you may have before class. Our instructors are trained to safely modify yoga poses so that all students may attain the benefits of asana.
Eating less than 2 hours before class is not recommended. However, a light snack such as yogurt or fruit may supply you with added energy.
Hydrate adequately before class. Bring a water bottle for added hydration after class.
